Newport Institute

Mental Health Care

Young adult mental health treatment; evidence-based, outcomes-driven, full continuum of care.

About us

We are a different kind of residential treatment center for young adults. We treat young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, co-occurring disorders, substance abuse disorders, eating disorders and trauma-related disorders. Newport Institute’s treatment approach is an insight-based, trauma-informed, and relational model that addresses the unique needs of young adults. We recognize in every individual the inherent desire for meaning, purpose, and belonging. For young adults, lack of self-esteem and unresolved trauma can lead to ongoing mental health issues and co-occurring disorders, or challenges that arise as they leave home and begin to lead more independent lives. Our goal is to empower minds and restore families. Levels of care include Residential Treatment Programs, Outpatient Programs including Partial-Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs, evidence-based practices, and family involvement. Highlighted modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Care, Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Experiential Therapies, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
