Four NRECA Broadband participating co-ops were awarded grants in the recent Border-to-Border funding round in Minnesota.   Congratulations to Federated REA ($8 million), East Central Energy ($6.9 million), MiEnergy Cooperative ($3.16 million) and Meeker Cooperative Light & Power Association ($2.89 million) for the awards to expand broadband access in their state.   #RuralBroadband   https://lnkd.in/ehpZNwC5

There’s so much to love about the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Capital Projects Fund. $8 billion in broadband funding was distributed quickly. The program requires 100/100 Mbps symmetrical speeds. Consumers in many areas are seeing the results already. And rural electric cooperatives are out there getting the work done! Per The Pew Charitable Trusts' reporting in August, close to $900 million of the CPF funding was awarded to 75 electric co-ops for 150 broadband projects. #CapitalProjectsFund #RuralBroadband #NRECABroadband Joseph Wender
