Ochsner provides coordinated clinical and hospital patient care, all connected electronically to provide convenience for our patients, across the region by Ochsner’s 40 owned, managed and affiliated hospitals and specialty hospitals and more than 100 health centers and urgent care centers. Close collaboration between our clinicians and scientists helps to bring innovative medical discoveries from the laboratory to our patients’ bedsides. We’re deeply dedicated to our patients and are honored to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the only nationally ranked hospital in Louisiana and Mississippi and the only ranked children's hospital in Louisiana. Ochsner is also a national leader in medical research, and conducts more than 700 clinical research studies. We’re one of the largest non-university-based physician training centers in the U.S. Ochsner's Digital Medicine solution provides one-on-one, personalized care to manage a member's high blood pressure or Type 2 diabetes without multiple trips to the doctor. Real-time data is shared with the member's personal Digital Medicine care team, who monitors their readings to help make treatment decisions. It’s that time of year again! As we approach flu season, it’s important to encourage your workforce to get their annual flu shots to maintain a healthy and productive organization. This is particularly crucial for those with high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, obesity and other cardiometabolic diseases. As a leader in the comprehensive treatment of these conditions, Ochsner Digital Medicine offers a few tips to effectively promote flu vaccinations to your employees: ✔ Start NOW: Flu season typically peaks in February, but, according to the CDC, it is ideal to be vaccinated by the end of October. The sooner the shot, the better the protection. ✔ Convenience Matters: Easy does it. Plan a day for on-site shots. Or partner with a local clinic that can offer flexible appointment times for your employees. ✔ Reward them: Incentivize your employees for being proactive about their health! Create a welcoming vaccination area that provides refreshments and small rewards.  ✔ Keep Them Informed: Whether it’s with the Ochsner Digital Medicine program, the employee health plan, or a local provider, it is beneficial to have a professional provide accurate information and answer employee questions. Flu vaccinations are crucial for protecting not just individual health but also the well-being of your workforce.
