As a Kentucky native, Elexene always knew she wanted to be in the equine industry. Growing up visiting her grandparents' small Thoroughbred breeding farm in Lexington, KY ignited a fervent passion for horses that continued to grow throughout her life. Elexene graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's in Equine Science and Management. During her college years, she worked as a hot walker at Keeneland and groomed at Overbrook Farm in the Broodmare Division. After completing college, she started at Patterson Veterinary Supply as the Equine Equipment Specialist, supporting our Equine Veterinarians and their local Patterson Equine Territory Managers across the country. Three years later, she became a Patterson Mixed Animal Territory Manager, servicing equine and companion animal veterinarians from Nashville, TN, to Huntsville, AL. In May 2024, she accepted a dream job as the Equine Territory Manager, servicing KY/TN. She is excited and humbled to work alongside and support such amazing equestrian veterinarians in the place where the dream began! Elexene and her husband, Jim, are proud owners of two OTTBs and their homebred ISH. She aspires to compete in the Eventing and Foxhunting disciplines.
