Great connections & inspiring talks at #TheAnimalConference! Hosted at the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden, we connected with fellow animal well-being advocates and industry experts to discuss some of the most complicated problems facing animals and people today. We also had the chance to connect in person with Pets & Housing Awards Merit Recognition winners Oklahoma Humane Society. Thank you to the KIRKPATRICK FOUNDATION INC for such an inspiring and impactful event! We were especially honored to have Ross Barker, from our Pet-Inclusive Housing Initiative, present on "Keeping People and Pets Together." His talk highlighted the importance of keeping families whole by advocating for pet-inclusive housing options. Renting with your pets shouldn't be ruff! The City of Evanston’s Animal Welfare Board is discussing ways to make housing more pet-inclusive.
