The SelectUSA program facilitates job-creating business investment into the United States and raises awareness of the critical role that foreign direct investment plays in the U.S. economy. SelectUSA helps international companies of all sizes find the information they need to make decisions, connect to the right people at the local level, and navigate the federal regulatory system. SelectUSA also assists U.S. economic development organizations to compete globally for investment by providing information, a platform for international marketing, and high-level advocacy. SelectUSA is a part of the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration.

SelectUSA Executive Director Jasjit Singh spoke at a Gulf International Forum and QatarDebate Center event on sovereign wealth funds and highlighted how foreign direct investment in the United States creates opportunities for increased collaboration across a variety of sectors.
On Tuesday, in partnership with QatarDebate Center, we hosted a roundtable discussion, “GCC Sovereign Wealth Funds: Global Impact and Domestic Transformation.” We thank our participants from The World Bank, International Monetary Fund, SelectUSA, the policymaking community, universities, and various investment authorities for an incredible discussion on the role of sovereign wealth funds in shaping global markets and their domestic economies.

Today marks a true milestone and step forward – not only for Aurubis, but also for the entire recycling industry in the US: With the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for our new multimetal recycling plant at Aurubis Richmond in Augusta (Georgia), we are proud to establish the first of its kind facility in the country, which reflects Aurubis’ commitment to sustainable practices, innovation, and contributing to the circular economy. I’m especially grateful for the support of Georgia officials and leaders like Governor Brian Kemp and Mayor Garnett Johnson for joining us for the ribbon cutting ceremony today at Richmond. Their presence underlines the importance of strong partnerships between industry and government as we work together to ensure growth and economic stability for families and businesses. SelectUSA Executive Director Jasjit Singh continued his trip in India by visiting its capital, New Delhi, and engaging with key stakeholders, holding productive meetings with major business associations and Indian companies interested in investing in America, and emphasizing how, for over a decade, the U.S. has been the top destination for foreign direct investors! ED Singh also attended the India Ideas Summit, where he listened to speakers, like U.S. Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti, discuss the strong bilateral relationship between the United States and India. This visit was a success thanks to the excellent U.S. Commercial Service India and staff at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi that work tirelessly to improve trade and investment between the two countries! 🇺🇸🇮🇳 #USIndiaFWD
