This October, we honor LGBTQ History Month and the invaluable contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community. We encourage school communities to build a culture of safety and expression for all students and staff.    One way to foster this culture is by using inclusive terms and pronouns that show respect, understanding, and care for all individuals. To learn more, read the first post in a 3-part blog series from the Student Behavior program, “Supporting LGBTQ+ Students and Staff: Glossary of Terms”.    Read the blog here: https://lnkd.in/gJmwjXxP

The pandemic has highlighted the urgent need for research-backed educational products to close learning gaps. The LEARN Network, funded by the U.S. Department of Education and led by SRI, is advancing efforts to design and scale solutions that enhance student outcomes.     SRI Education researchers Kerry Friedman and Jessica Mislevy recently sat down with EdSurge, where they discussed how the LEARN Network collaborates with educators and researchers to develop tools that enhance literacy and math skills. Through coaching and resources, the LEARN Network is ensuring these evidence-based products are both impactful and accessible to schools nationwide.    Learn more about how the LEARN Network is transforming education in this blog: https://lnkd.in/gqZmWXKi
