Spread the word! Building upon the success of the country's first city-led conference dedicated to leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) for social good, we are releasing a request for proposal (RFP) seeking innovative AI vendors to transform city operations and improve the resident experience. This initiative underscores the city’s commitment to becoming a leader in the AI space and leveraging cutting-edge technology to address complex challenges. The purpose of the RFP is to establish a pre-qualified bench of AI vendors who can deliver innovative, scalable, and secure AI solutions that are tailored to the city’s needs. The RFP will evaluate vendors based on their technical capabilities, innovation potential, compliance with security standards, scalability, and cost efficiency. To be considered, vendors must submit a proposal online by April 15. https://lnkd.in/gGcPUMPC

Surprise! Mayor Mike Johnston was on the other end of the line when some residents called 311 yesterday. Mayor Johnston toured the city’s 311 call center (part of Technology Services) and learned all about the work this team of dedicated civil servants does to support our residents. This team assists with more than 40,000 resident interactions each month and works incredibly hard to make navigating city services a breeze. Need to report an issue in Denver? Call 311, visit https://lnkd.in/gXJG6zNF to report it online, or text our chatbot, Sunny, at 439311.

The city is aware that some residents received a text message this weekend that appears to have come from the City and County of Denver, with the city’s logo and the subject being an unpaid parking invoice. We can confirm that the City and County of Denver did not send this text, but we want to use this opportunity to remind residents to be aware of cybersecurity scams. These scams, which can take many forms, aim to steal personal or financial information. Governments are frequent targets for bad actors, and we are tracking other municipalities also experiencing similar phishing attacks. Reference this site for what these scams can look like https://lnkd.in/gnQ6jY6k
