About this mod
Adds low-priority generic greetings, hellos etc. to vanilla races, thus preventing the "I HAVE NO GREETING" error message when starting a conversation.
- Permissions and credits
The Shivering Isles expansion introduced one specific problem: if the related variables aren't changed properly when the player moves in or out of the realm of Madness, the hidden quests that handle the NPCs' dialogue may remain disabled. This means that they cannot access any usable dialogue, thus resulting in them saying "I HAVE NO GREETING" when you try to start a conversation with them. This can happen also if an NPC has no dialogue they can use at all, regardless of any SI shenanigans.
The mod adds a bunch of generic greetings and hellos for NPCs to use if they have no other available dialogue. Those greetings etc. have a priority of 1 out of 100, when most quests have a priority of at least 5, meaning that those greetings should only ever be used if an NPC has no higher priority quest to pick dialogue from. By extension, the mod also gives some placeholder dialogue to female dremoras and to the Sheogorath race.
Note that you should still be able to tell that something went wrong with the dialogue if all of a sudden, the NPCs start consistently saying "Nothing I'd like to talk about" when you ask them about rumors - which is a line that this mod adds as part of its generic dialogues.
The mod comes with a script that will attempt to fix the issue if the SI variables have not been changed correctly. This fix will trigger only if an NPC says one of the mod's greetings while you are in the general worldspace of either Cyrodiil or Shivering Isles (towns are separate worldspaces, so they don't count).
