AT&T follows suit by pricing the Palm Pre Plus at $50 with a contract
Just when some people were content to see AT&T's Palm Pre Plus finally shed its once expensive price point to something slightly more tolerable at $99.99 on-contract, we recently saw refurbished units going for the healthy price of $49.99. Sure it's a refurbished unit which means that someone most likely handled the smartphone before you and that some of its internal components might not be so brand new. Regardless, they're tested to ensure that they are in perfecting working order before they are sold as refurbished products.

However, it appears as though AT&T finally woke up to realize that the $99.99 pricing for a new Palm Pre Plus is still considerably more than some of what their competitors are offering. With that in mind, we're now witnessing its fitting drop to $50 with an accompanying 2-year agreement – which is only a penny more that the refurbished model. If that's the case, we'd expect it to drop even more to give potential buyers that sense of relief that they're getting a deal.

So if you've resisted buying a refurbished model, then this $50 on-contract Palm Pre Plus should be more than easy on your pockets at this point.
