Google Clock app updated with musical alarms via Spotify
Google's Clock app for Android devices has just received a feature that's been long overdue, the possibility to add musical alarms. The latest version of the app allows users to replace the classic alarm sounds with their favorite songs.

In order to take advantage of the new feature, you'll have to use Spotify, but the good news is musical alarms work on both Free and Premium versions of the streaming service. So, make sure that Spotify and Clock apps on your smartphone are updated to the latest version, then you'll be able to choose the music you want to wake you up.

The app allows you to browse recently played music and choose from Spotify's curated morning playlists, or search for a specific soundtrack. But there's more, as the new Clock app allows you to continue to listen to Spotify even after switching off the alarm.

According to Google, the new feature will be rolled out globally this week on the Play Store and will be available on all devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop and above.
