If you were watching the Grammy's last night, one of the highlights was the surprise appearance of former First Lady Michelle Obama, who received a loud and long ovation from the crowd. If you own a Google Pixel, another highlight was watching Google's new ad for its Pixel handsets, which debuted the latest AR Playground pack starring a virtual Childish Gambino (the rap persona of actor Donald Glover).

The ad shows the real performer and his virtual "Playmoji" (as Google calls it) in a dance-off. Who wins? Well, let's just say that when you're a virtual creation, you can be coded to do just about anything. The virtual Gambino can be made to appear in photos and videos shot on Pixel handsets. It is part of the Playground feature found in the Google Camera app if, and this is a big if, you own a Pixel.

So let's say you do own a Pixel. How do you get Childish Gambino (the virtual one) to appear in your photos and videos? Open the Google Camera app and swipe to the left until you see the "More" tab toward the bottom of the screen. Click on it and you'll see several options. Tap on Playground and when it opens, tap on the smiley face icon on the bottom of the screen. You will then see the option to install the Childish Gambino Playground pack. Other packs include one with the Marvel Avengers (view the slideshow at the bottom of this article).
