Yesterday the topic of clone of popular smartphones came up one too many times — enough at least for us to feel like we just had to get our readership's pulse on this one. So we asked you: Have you ever bought a clone of a popular smartphone? Over a thousand of you obliged and cast their vote, and a 24 hours later we're ready to share how that particular poll went.
As it turns out, clones are perhaps a little more popular than we suspected. Indeed, a combined 12.31% of votes are accounted for by people who've owned a clone before, though 7.89% of those 12.31% were votes from people who say they weren't happy with the device. The remaining 4.42% say the actually liked what they got. Finally, as you can imagine, the overwhelming majority (87.69%) of consumers haven't ever interacted with copies of popular flagships.
Did you find the 12.31% figure to be surprisingly high, too?
