LG BL40 shows off super sleek body to the camera
The LG Chocolate BL40 has been photographed showing off its sexy, super thin body along with the 4 inch touchscreen display that it sports. Scratch proof glass, Wi-Fi, 21:9 aspect ratio, multi-touch and the S-Class 3D UI all combine to make the BL40 one of those devices that captures your attention instantly. The only fly in the ointment seems to be the question of the handset's 3G connectivity in the States.

When the phone recently passed through the FCC, no word was printed about 3G frequencies for U.S. use. Digging into the paperwork, it seems that the test lab asked LG why there was no 3G support for the States and the response simply left more questions than answers. As we've reported, the guys at Engadget Mobile have a theory that the 3G bands for the BL40 will be enabled once the handset is launched by Telus as the Canadian carrier's first GSM phone on its new HSPA network. Whatever the reason for the current omission of the frequencies, you just know that a device like this, with a special top-of-the-line Black Label name and an amazing design, will not settle for anything but 3G speed by the time it is launched in the U.S., whenever that is.
