Swatch claims Samsung's smartwatch faces copied its trademark
The saying if you can't beat them, join them doesn't really apply in this matter, but few probably remember that Swatch wanted to take on Google and Samsung with its own smartwatch and wearable OS about two years ago.

Now the company is making headlines again but for an entirely different reason. Swatch has filed a complaint against Samsung claiming the South Korean company infringed its trademark, Reuters reports. Apparently, some of the watch faces on the Samsung smartwatch strongly resemble Swatch's trademark. At the moment, Swatch's complaint asks for a trial, which also mentions “unfair competition and unfair business practices,” so we'll see how it goes.

Swatch, the company that owns important watch brands like Longines, Omega and Tissot, filed the complaint to the court in the Southern District of New York against two companies: Samsung Electronics Co and Samsung Electronics America Inc.
