When news first started to break surrounding the T-Mobile G2, it looked as though every indirect retailer was coughing up pre-orders for the successor to the original G1. Wirefly and even Best Buy were quick to start handing out pre-orders for the handset, but eventually, T-Mobile lifted the covers and started to offer their own – directly from the lion's mouth.
However, it appears that T-Mobile has a jewel with the G2 since they just recently completely stopped taking pre-orders for the device “due to overwhelming demand.” In fact, they say that you can buy the handset at any location or even online, but if you choose the latter option, there is no specific time line on when it'll start to ship out. So if you've missed out on getting a pre-order, you may want to consider the other options at your disposal – such as getting up early tomorrow to buy one online.
