Even though this leaked information is based on a document sent to T-Mobile's retail partners, there would be no reason to expect the corporate stores to have a different price on the Samsung Galaxy Tab when the device is released. According to the document, the 7 inch Android 2.2 equipped pad will cost you $399 after a $50 mail-in-rebate and your John Hancock on a 2 year contract. Off contract, the Samsung Galaxy Tab will set you back $649.99.
While most top of the line smartphones have been priced at the magical $199 price after rebate and a signed 2 year contract, it should be interesting to see if the upcoming group of tablets takes its cues from Sprint and T-Mobile's pricing of the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
As far as this specific device is concerned, T-Mobile's contract price matches the price tag that Sprint will put on its subsidized version of the Galaxy Tab, as we recently reported.
