Samsung One UI allows you to lock your home screen layout
Who hasn't accidentally moved or outright deleted an icon on their home screen? It's not the biggest problem in the world, but it could be annoying when you have to find the app again and return restore its icon on the home screen.

Lock/Unlock home screen

Samsung is looking to combat this with a feature that locks/unlocks the home screen layout, restricting items from being moved around or deleted. On phones running the Android Pie-based Samsung One UI, users can now enable the "Lock Home screen layout" setting to prevent such accidents from happening. Of course, you can set it to unlock the home screen layout.

If you are lucky enough to be running the latest iteration of Samsung's Android skin, you can enable the feature under Settings > Display > Home screen. Although this is something that users of third-party Android launchers have been enjoying for years, it's still good to see a major phone maker implement it into its default launcher.

Go to Settings > Display > Home screen and enable "Lock Home screen layout"

As SamMobilenotes, the "Lock Home screen layout" setting is currently available to beta testers of Samsung One UI, though it should be ready for prime time when the stable version of Android Pie starts rolling out to all users.
