Worst phone we ever had.

Phone owned for more than a year

My old phone quit working due to falling into water. My wife went to the store to get me a new phone while I was at work. We had Galaxies. The T Mobile rep talked her into a family plan and these 5g phones. She told my wife they were just as good if not a little better than the Galaxies we had. They worked fine at first then after a year they started acting up. We started to get bad reception. Could not make calls from certain areas like inside Walmart or the Hospital. Kept needing to restart a lot. We needed reliable phones because of my wife's health. We did not have the money to get new ones. Since these were T mobiles "bargain basement phones" we could not trade them in for a newer phone. We were told by a T Mobile rep they "had no value." So we were stuck with them. I just bought an SD card because I was running short on memory. Watching the guides on how to upgrade it showed 2 choices, Portable storage and Internal storage. My phone only allows Portable storage. No option for Internal storage. So I cannot use it for Apps. A salesman working with this rep when I went back later about a problem made a comment if it was up to him he would not allow Walmart to sell anything but T mobile phones. Well, they should not allow T Mobile phones to be sold in Walmart.

No far below the bar

Phone owned for less than 3 months

I was able to use the previous version of the phone and was just amazed at the quality of everything. It was a contender. So naturally purchased the 5+5G expecting similar. Wrong this phone is trash and should not be named as a new better performing version of the phone. This is like a free gov phone

Expand storage using SanDisk Extreme A2

Phone owned for less than 3 months

My brother was using an Android 10 LG Stylo 5 (6.2" Full HD+ 1080x2160 18:9 ratio ~390 ppi density display) but hit the absurd limit of 15GB available storage with no usable expandability via the microSD card slot, making it useless for GoPro Quik. And he guinea pigged a very important lesson for me...

He moved his unused Samsung EVO Select 256GB MicroSDXC UHS-I U3 100MB/s Full HD & 4K UHD card to his new Revvl V+ 5G phone and formatted it as internal memory. After which he had nothing but problems! Eventually we discovered Storage was showing as 256GB used of 512GB! He had to not only unmount and remove the card but was unable to install any apps from the Play Store due to "insufficient memory" even though storage was now showing 26GB used of 64GB until he reset the SIM card!

So I bought two SanDisk Extreme 256GB SDSQXA1-256G-GN6MA microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card - Up to 160MB/s, C10, U3, V30, 4K, A2 cards and no problems since.

Honestly, the only problems I've had are the minor annoyances of being unable to resize or reposition the Google Search bar at the top of my home screen, but by moving one app to a secondary Home Page I can just swipe left to switch to a searchbar-free display.

Also, I too am irritated by the SMS Messages app not supporting text copy. I haven't found a workaround yet. But you can download Google Gallery Go if you're used to an image gallery app.

I gathered my 24 favorite apps into a two-page group at bottom center (the most used 16 residing on page 1), flanked by messaging and phone apps on the left plus camera and SnapSeed apps on the right.

Perhaps the oddest way I've always used my phones is to turn Airplane mode on, ensure Bluetooth and NFC are also off (so no radios are on) then turn WiFi back on so I don't consume any of my bandwidth ration at home. This requires also setting options such as WiFi Calling before you turn Airplane mode on. I also tried to turn on Battery Saver mode immediately, not so much to conserve the 5000mAh LiPo battery as to ensure consistent performance! I hate it when a device's behavior changes because the battery is low... Be sure to disable the "Turn off when charged" option or the phone will override. Note this will also disable "Hello Google" voice command functionality since your phone won't be listening to everything you say... (I have to tap the microphone icon in the Google Search bar to interact). I also set up Google Assistant for a daily summary of news and weather at 7:30AM but have to set the alarm on the clock to match or it won't trigger.

I disabled lock screens, Lift to Wake and Tap to Wake. No fingerprint scanner, no face recognition. Just push the pretty red button.

Under Google Services / Backup I used Manage Storage to empty the wastebasket of deleted files on my 100GB cloud storage. But I turned Storage Manager off under the Internal Storage submenu.

Great camera

Phone owned for less than a month

Well, let's see!
Great camera, a bit bulky, but very affordable! This phone comes in at $199.00, a lot cheaper than even 4g models of all brands. It is fairly easy to use but a bit confusing at first.
All in all, if you don't carry your phone with you at all times, it's a great value!
