I work with adolescents and adults to help them resolve difficulties or problematic patterns they are struggling with. These may include issues with mood, anxiety, relationships, or work. You may not be able to put your finger on it, yet know there is a problem that is getting in the way of leading a fulfilling life. You may have tried everything you can think of to improve your situation, and be experiencing a range of painful feelings, including frustration, hopelessness, or feeling stuck. There may be mixed feelings about seeking help.
In my experience, if an issue is simple, people resolve it themselves. I see people when this has not happened. I specialise in psychotherapy to help with a broad range of emotional/mental health issues. Therapy usually involves meeting once or twice per week for at least 6-12 months with the aim of providing support and long-term change.
I believe strongly in principles of mutual respect, working collaboratively and relationally, and in the idea of therapeutic fit. I am a strong believer that therapists doing their own personal therapy and receiving clinical supervision only benefits their clients. Please feel free to get in touch.
