My wealth of lived experiences including gender transition inform my collaborative client centred counselling approach. Whilst presenting issues may include depression, anxiety, identity incongruence, dysphoria, trauma, interpersonal challenges, addiction, loneliness, and more, I seek to work with the underlying causes as I believe that through addressing the root causes of the presenting symptoms that psychological wellbeing can be achieved without judgement or further pathologisation.
The core of my integrative trauma informed practice is Gestalt therapy including elements of Schema therapy, Internal Family Systems and Buddhist psychology. This allows our joint approach to seek to encounter the experiences of you, usually my client, in the present – directly, honestly and spontaneously in the safe space we jointly create.
My clients experience a safe environment to explore whatever they bring to sessions. The aim is to avoid power imbalances, judgments and to respect that you the client is the expert in your life and experiences. All session are currently ON-LINE.
