I specialize in treating trauma and PTSD. Trauma comes in many forms: a single event, childhood, medical or just "something" that affects an individual internally. Trauma therapy involves facilitating psychological healing, self-growth and understanding. We will work to identify core beliefs that immerged due to life experiences, then begin to process and manage them with a sense of support, confidence and strength.
Let's build a strong therapeutic alliance and begin to reprocess memories, process emotions, manage body reactions and build skills. Working together we can experiment with a therapeutic modality that suits you (EMDR, CBT, DBT, IFS). Options for nature based interventions are also available. I accommodate online, at home or in-nature sessions.
I have immense empathy, respect and a profound admiration of the resilience and strength that individuals possess as they move through a life affected by trauma. I strive to empower those I have the privilege of working with to befriend emotions, rediscover inner strength and take those steps along the journey of healthy integration of memories.
