Dr. Valadao earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Waterloo in 2017, where he also completed his Master’s degree. Over the course of his graduate training and early career work, Dr. Valadao has developed a comprehensive background in the assessment and treatment of a broad range of mental health concerns including mood and anxiety disorders like depression and PTSD.
In his practice, Dr. Valadao has learned to apply a breadth of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions to treat members of the local community and has worked to flexibly incorporate elements of other treatment approaches including dialectical behaviour therapy, mindfulness, and acceptance-based orientations.
Dr. Valadao’s goal is to create a safe and supportive environment that helps his clients feel understood and empowered to share and work together towards their unique and individual treatment goals.
