Living in a fast-paced society can often make us feel burned-out, chronically anxious, depressed and alienated from those we love the most. Too often, we are "working for the weekend", and when it comes we have precious little time to spend doing the things that bring us meaning and strengthen our most important relationships. I approach mental health issues as arising primarily from our needs being inadequately met by the community and world around us. So there's a disconnect between how we evolved and where we are now. I also do ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) in partnership with the Canadian Centre For Psychedelic Healing.
I characterize my approach through the acronym WISDOM: We Investigate the Social Determinants of Mental Health. With a unique combination of degrees in Evolutionary-Developmental Biology and Social Work, I support clients to identify the connections between their environment, their lifestyle, the strength of their relationships, with their mental well-being.
I have worked extensively with people living with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, developmental trauma and other psychological disorders. We humans are adaptable animals with brains capable of "rewiring" in ways that allow us to heal and reach our full potential. I look forward to helping you see life from a new perspective and enabling this growth.

Addiction Support Group
I facilitate a virtual support group for folks 16+ of all genders who have substance use disorders or are struggling with other addictive behaviours and are seeking community and mutual support. I have extensive experience conducting groups and cultivate a safe and accepting space in which clients can better understand the root causes of their addiction, how it impacts mental health and quality of life. Through a harm reduction approach, I teach coping skills, and other strategies to help clients get back into the driver's seat and lead a more fulfilling, connected and authentic life.
