As you journey through life it is common to at times feel stressed or overwhelmed. Feeling this way can lead to changes in our mental health, ability to function, relationships, and overall peace of mind. As a therapist I walk alongside and support you, holding empathy and understanding as we work together to lighten the load, develop skills, and enhance personal understanding.
As a social worker I specialize in therapy for anxiety, trauma, & substance use concerns. I am trained in evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, & Internal Family Systems. Additionally I am passionate about the role intention and mindfulness can play in health/healing.
What can you expect from psychotherapy? Largely that depends on your goals, which is where we can start. Our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours all interact - through looking at these interactions we can make changes to create the life we want to live.
