I am a Registered Psychotherapist with Psychological Counselling & Services Group. I completed my Master of Education degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy through the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. I work primarily with adults and adolescents with a wide range of presenting problems and concerns. I specialize primarily in using Emotion-Focused Therapy, and I also have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Career/Educational Counselling, and Group Therapy.
I completed my PhD in Sport Psychology and I am an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto where I conduct research and teach courses on sport psychology, stress and coping, emotion regulation, and youth sport. I have over ten years of experience working with athletes, coaches, and sport teams.
My work in these areas includes issues relating to performance problems, confidence, anxiety, interpersonal problems with coaches and teammates, career development and athletic identity, dealing with concussions and injuries, as well as perfectionism and burnout. I am available to work with clients in Ontario remotely/online.
