I'm passionate about helping folks with ADHD understand and accept themselves. The majority of people I speak to who have ADHD share stories about trying to explain their ADHD struggles to a friend, parent, teacher, etc. only to be misunderstood or not believed. Much of the suffering of ADHD comes from the way others respond to us, and the self-judgmental way we relate to ourselves. My own experience living with ADHD, and hearing about my clients' struggles and successes, has helped me appreciate the many different ways that ADHD can impact our lives, our jobs, our education, and our relationships.
Just letting go of self-judgment (easier said than done, I know) can significantly lessen the burden of living with ADHD. But on top of that, understanding and accepting the unique needs of your ADHD brain puts you in a much better position to make realistic changes that actually help.
Whether you're a seasoned therapy veteran or just trying it out for the first time, I would be happy to chat with you and see how I can help. I am currently offering online therapy sessions for $165 (no HST). If you'd like to get started or have any questions, send me me an email and we can arrange a time for a free consult call or an intake session.
