Korinne Edwards is a psych-mental health nurse practitioner, who has been practicing with Lifestance since 2019. She graduated from Columbia University with her Master of Nursing degree and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Korinne believes that holistic health care is the key to mental wellness. She wants her patients to feel comfortable knowing that they have a provider who wants them to become their best selves. Her main areas of focus include treating postpartum depression, anxiety disorders and ADHD.

I am a board certified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner ​that is licensed to provide services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families. These services include conducting brief solution therapy, EMDR psychotherapy, identifying and diagnosing mental health disorders, medical mental health conditions, or substance abuse, prescribing appropriate psychotropic medications, and referring patients to appropriate levels of care if needed. My primary focus is on promoting stabilization while building a rapport and forming individualized treatment plans with consideration of patient's needs and wants, while managing holistic care.

I developed a passion for caring for others at a very young age and knew very early on in life that I wanted to be a healthcare provider. I have experience as a medical/surgical nurse and also have many years of experience as a critical care nurse. However, throughout my years of nursing, I developed a love for psychiatry and decided to pursue an advanced nursing degree specializing in psychiatry. I truly enjoy helping people feel better mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Ms. Dexter focuses on supporting the adult patient’s total mental health and emotional well-being. She encourages family involvement in the therapeutic process. Discovering the optimal medication regimen for each patient is her goal. She believes that psychotherapy is an essential adjunct to medication in improving each person’s quality of life.

For me, the most satisfying part of practicing psychiatry is that each day I have the opportunity to interact with patients and help them improve their mental health and lives. Over my 23 years of private practice in Atlanta, I have seen firsthand that good psychiatric care, often in conjunction with targeted psychotherapy, can be transformative to a patient's health and well being. I enjoy getting to know my patients personally, because each individual has unique biology, life circumstances, and goals for themselves.

I am an experienced psychiatrist committed to providing individualized care to each patient, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and shared decision making/informed consent. My goal in working with patients is to foster growth, strength and resiliency, while working together to manage underlying psychiatric and medical conditions impeding their progress. At PsychMD Georgia, Dr Mehta treats patients who are age 18 and older all over Georgia via telemedicine and in-person. He specializes in treating all Anxiety spectrum disorders including ADHD, PTSD, MDD, Bipolar and other psychotic spectrum disorders. Dr. Mehta utilizes a direct-patient care model and eliminates gatekeepers/insurance companies that pose other administrative burdens and friction between doctor and patient. Shashank Jha, M. B. B.S. (Educational commission for foreign medical graduate certified by Association of American Medical Colleges(AAMC), F. N. P. (Board certified), P. M. H. N. P. (Board certified), is a double-boarded, across-the-lifespan mental health nurse practitioner who practices psychiatry in Atlanta, GA since 2015. He began his career in healthcare practicing primary care and psychiatry in India in 1994. Shashank Jha practiced medicine in India for almost fourteen years before moving to Atlanta, GA, in 2008.

Asata Kamara AGNP-C, PMHNP-BC is a noteworthy and highly experienced medical professional with over 20 years of experience. As a Doctoring Prepared Nurse (DNP) as well as 9 years of experience as a Certified Adult Geriatric and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Sainvil medical services focuses on evaluation and treatment of common mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD, as well as providing weight-loss management for low-risk patients. Her experience and skills as a primary care doctor allows her to do a thorough work-up of your symptoms to rule out other conditions such as thyroid problems, low testosterone, and anemia that can also cause similar symptoms.

I am a dual certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I have an extensive medical background that includes primary care, urgent care, internal medicine and hospital medicine. My psychiatric experience includes substance abuse, eating disorders, crisis stabilization, and outpatient services caring for individuals with depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, women's mental health, and bipolar disorder II.

Tina Cherry is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing effective and efficient care to her clients. She provides a Holistic & Evidence based approach. She has a passion for helping and understanding ones needs. She takes time to listen without judgement and finding the best solution for her clients.  She specializes in treating children and adults suffering with depression, ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar and more. She believes that working together as a team helps to build trust and rapport with her clients and gives each a better understanding of their issues and needs.

Lola Sulaimon is a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with 12+ years of psychiatric experience. She manages a wide range of mental health concerns. She is skilled in medication management and utilizes aspects of psychodynamics, CBT, and stabilization while building a rapport, forming individualized treatment plans, and managing care. I aim to create a supportive and empathetic environment. I listen actively, validate their feelings, and provide information or guidance based on their needs. My approach is nonjudgmental and focused on collaboration.

Dr. Nawar feels particularly grateful in her work with the LGBTQ+ individuals as an ally and fellow learner. She enjoys mentoring Emory Medical students and has supervised fellow psychiatrists and advanced level practitioners in her past roles.
