I am a 2014 graduate of the University of Iowa. I have worked in healthcare for over 20 years in various capacities. I have practiced as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I currently accept clients 12 years of age and above. I manage a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, mood disorders, and schizophrenia. I firmly believe in a holistic approach for my clients to achieve optimal mental health.

My name is Kerri Patton. I love being a nurse practitioner. I have worked as one for over 17 years. I am dual certified as both a family and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I have worked in many areas over the course of my career. One theme has been present no matter the setting; all health starts and stops with mental health. Abbie Kelley, ARNP, PMHNP-BC is a board certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at Psychiatric Associates at the Cedar Rapids location. She works with individuals ages four and up. She especially enjoys helping those who experience Anxiety Disorders (Generalized Anxiety, OCD, PTSD), Depression and other Mood Disorders, ADHD, Behavioral Disorders, Trauma, Psychotic Disorders, and Bipolar Disorders. In addition, she has a decade of experience managing an inpatient psychiatric unit.

I practice integrative psychiatry, which weaves together conventional psychiatric treatments like medications with complementary and alternative ones. To care for you, I will draw on functional medicine, natural and traditional remedies, lifestyle interventions, and mind-body practices. The integrative approach also tends to be much more holistic and individualized than the conventional psychiatric approach so you can expect highly personalized care. I also take a functional medicine approach, which means that we look below the surface and aim to resolve the root causes of your symptoms.

Ms. Roetman is Dual Certified Nurse Practitioner who works with clients along the life span from age 12 yo to 65 yo experiencing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma, psychotic disorders, and other mental health concerns. Mrs. Roetman graduated from Drake University with her MSN, FNP-BC and the University of IA for her PMHNP-BC. She provides medication management and supportive therapy. Her treatment model emphasis providing a calm and supportive environment in an attempt to humanize the experience of treatment allowing clients to receive the highest quality of care.

My priority is to provide seamless collaborative care for each patient I treat. I believe it is essential to treat the patient and not just the disorder. I use an integrative approach to understanding one's biological, psychological, and social needs. I feel a patient- centered therapeutic approach is crucial to help patients' reach their goals.

From time to time, our lives take an unexpected turn for the worse. We may suffer from emotional illness, or experience conflict, loss, misfortune. Trauma and chronic disability may affect our loved ones or us. Life adversities may temporarily overwhelm our ability to carry on. We may turn pessimistic, doubtful, and hopeless.
