I have over 20 years of experience as a mental health provider providing therapy and medication management. I specialize in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, grief and loss and life transitions.

I believe that the development of mental health conditions is a combination of factors relating to genetics, environment and other stressors. Every client presents differently and therefore, I work with each individual uniquely to address the challenges associated with mental health. Kirby Nelson is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner serving adult patients experiencing mental health symptoms impacting their daily functioning. Kirby believes in a holistic, patient centered approach to psychiatric care and utilizes evidence-based pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment modalities. Kirby's area of expertise is reproductive and perinatal psychiatry and enjoys working alongside child-bearing individuals to improve their mental health and overall well being.

Sue (she/her) specializes in providing individualized, holistic, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive care to her patients. Sue enjoys serving BIPOC and LGBTQA populations and is a firm believer in collaborative care where patients are an active participant in their own care. She has worked at various community mental health centers, mental health crisis stabilization centers, the department of corrections, and at various inpatient mental health/substance abuse treatment centers.

Services include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy to individuals across the lifespan, family and marital counseling, and Genesight testing. I am passionate about providing patient centered care. I enjoys education and being a life-long learner. My clinical interests encompass a broad spectrum of disorders including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, mood disorders, and substance abuse disorders. With a diverse clinical background and experience in treating patients in various settings, I focus on integrating traditional psychiatric treatments with complementary approaches. This allows me to provide my patients with the best tools possible to achieve their goals.

In my practice, we are currently accepting NEW patients for medication management, therapy, chemical dependency treatment including suboxone. We also provide esketamine/spravato. My interests are varied and include a wide spectrum of disorders, such as major depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, substance use, ADHD and PTSD. I explore the biological, psychological and social components of mental illness and utilize tools and interventions to evaluate and treat my patients, including diagnostic laboratory tests, prescribed medications and coping strategies. We accept most insurances and private pay.

As a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner and board-certified psychiatric mental health provider, I believe in providing each patient with holistic, comprehensive care that is effective, efficient, and compassionate. From medication management, to referrals within the health care system, every client is treated based on their individual needs and goals.
