She obtained her Bachelor's degree from East Carolina University and further pursued her Master's degree at Walden University. Mia has garnered over seven years of experience working in various units including inpatient medical-surgical, ICU, behavioral health, and addiction. However, in 2020, she resolved to pursue her long-held ambition of becoming a mental health nurse practitioner.

My name is Mojeed Akintayo(aka Dr. A). I am a practicing psychiatrist in Greensboro, NC. I completed my medical education at College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria. I proceeded to Columbia University, Harlem Hospital Center in New York City where I completed my training in Adult/General Psychiatry. I attended fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at SUNY Downstate/Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York. I am Board Certified in Adult and general Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. I have worked as a staff psychiatrist at various hospitals.

I'm Gabriella, and I am an ANCC board-certified PMHNP. I have a passion for high-quality, empathetic, and holistic care of individuals struggling with their mental health and believe that the most important member of the collaborative care team is the patient. I obtained my masters in nursing from South College of Knoxville, TN. Prior to that, I held a BSN and BS in Psychology from Western Carolina University. I have a background in inpatient psychiatric nursing where I cared for individuals struggling with many different mental health challenges ranging from substance abuse to mood disorders and high-acuity psychotic disorder.

I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner focused on elevating mental well-being. My dedication to healing propels my practice and includes over 15 years’ experience in healthcare with 7 years’ experience in mental health exclusively. I have worked with patients from ages 6 and up, with a wide range of psychiatric needs. My approach is patient-centered and inclusive of individuals, reflecting my belief in addressing mental health comprehensively.

Dr. Tina is a highly experienced and compassionate provider who leaves no stone untouched when it comes to healthcare delivery. She utilizes her years of experience as a dual-certified Nurse Practitioner in Family medicine and Psychiatric/Behavioral medicine to take care of her clients. Dr. Okonkwo has exceptional listening skills, and she engages her clients in a relaxing way. She understands that there is no "one size fits all" in healthcare; hence, she approaches each client as a person and not a patient, and she treats the conditions and not the symptoms.

Kendra is a native of the western North Carolina area. She is board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the American Nursing Credentialing Center. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University.

NOTE that as of 6/23/24 my schedule is too full to permit new patient scheduling. I do not keep a waiting list, but typically I am able to reopen periodically. I am a psychiatrist offering medication treatments and/or psychotherapy as appropriate. Most of my patients struggle with anxiety or depression, although I also have broad experience in treating ADHD, bipolar disorder, as well as various issues of life adjustments and relationships. Note that I do not specialize in treating children and adolescents, couples therapy, or addiction treatment. I offer either video or in-person sessions.

I am a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner FNP-BC who specializes in psychiatric medication evaluation and management. As a psychiatrist and therapist, I help people dealing with a range of questions, including deciding who and how to love, how to create family and community, finding meaning and success in work, how to cope with loss, issues related to gender, identity, and race, and how to overcome anxiety and depression.

I am an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with the privilege of practicing for a decade in Vermont. I relocated to Western North Carolina in 2019. I have devoted myself to outpatient psychiatric and neurological practice specializing in treating adults with mood and anxiety disorders in a cognitive behavioral therapy setting as well as dementia care for patients and their families. My role is primarily medication management. Also, I am a veteran Army officer who has experience providing psychiatric care to active duty serice members. My practice is 100% telehealth.

Originally from the Caribbean, Claris started her nursing career over 30 years ago and is currently a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Claris graduated from Walden University with her family medicine studies and then from Liberty University with her psychiatric studies. Claris has a combined nursing experiencing spanning from neonatal to geriatric nursing responding to various levels of urgent and severe medical conditions and stabilization of such conditions. Claris' current focus is family psychiatry. She is of the firm belief that mental health is vital in every stage of life.
