Tracy (she/her) is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse with her Master of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University. Tracy began her career as a registered nurse on an Inpatient Adult Acute Psychiatry Unit. As a Nurse Practitioner, she has experience working in a Crisis Stabilization Unit, with the aging population, with adults with mild to severe mental illness and those with complex medical issues.

Dr. Romanow is double board-certified in Adult Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry.He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training and then attended Drexel University College of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his residency in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Virginia, where he obtained a certificate in additional psychotherapy training.After residency, Dr. Romanow completed a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Virginia.

Jonathan Mills is a board-certified, psychiatric nurse practitioner providing patient-centered care to children, adolescents and young adults. He completed his graduate work at Yale School of Nursing and clinical training in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Yale Child Study Center. He has experience in a range of treatment settings providing medication and therapeutic services to young people, families, and adults.

Gifty Awenanya is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is a compassionate Nurse Practitioner with over 6 years of experience offering comprehensive patient care in the medical-surgical unit, long-term care, and behavioral health environments. Gifty works well with diverse patient populations and fosters trusting relationships to improve outcomes, provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, utilizing evidence-based interventions to promote healing and recovery.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist with over 35 years of experience in psychiatry. In addition to my career as a psychiatrist, I was ordained as a Christian Minister in 1999. I founded Vine Psychiatric Associates to provide healing based on modern psychiatric practice while integrating a spiritual approach. I provide medication management along with counseling (using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy approaches).

Dr. Alfers is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in adult psychiatry. He has been practicing for over 11 years. Dr. Alfers takes a comprehensive approach to patient care. He integrates biological, psychological, and environmental factors into treatment planning. Dr. Stansberry holds the position of staff psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He is board eligible in Adult Psychiatry and has been practicing for four years. Dr. Stansberry’s practice focuses on medication management and also incorporates supportive therapy techniques, typically in 30-minute follow-up visits. In some cases, Dr. Stansberry may believe that additional therapy is also needed and ask that you bring a therapist into your care team.
