If you feel held back by anxiety, depression, excessive guilt and shame, or relationship struggles, or feel disconnected from yourself and others, you may actually be experiencing the impacts of trauma from your past, whether mild or severe, recent or distant. Sometimes our struggles have less to do with our "mindset", and more to do with how our brains were rewired by trauma at pivotal moments in our lives. Dr. Roque has completed a clinical internship with the Broward Sherriff's Office, North Broward Bureau. Her work there included providing mental health services to inmates with psychiatric disorders, including group and individual therapy, and comprehensive psychological assessments. Dr. Roque has experience conducting psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Evaluations have been conducted for a variety of reasons including treatment formulation, intelligence and academic abilities, and forensic competency.

I work with people who have gone through the same things I've gone through - divorce, remarriage, blended family & parenting struggles, grief & loss due to death and suicide, and loving & care taking of someone with a severe mental illness and/or chronic illness.
