Dr. Ralston provides treatment for adult women who, as children or as adults, have experienced domestic violence, physical or sexual assault (abuse, rape, molestation), sexual harassment, motor vehicle accidents, or other serious and threatening events. Experiencing these events sometimes leads to trauma-related problems such as increased fear, avoidance, irritability, guilt, shame, low self-esteem, and changes in how one views herself, others and the world. Dr. Ralston regularly treats all of these symptoms.

As a pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am eager to support men and women of all ages and backgrounds. Each one of us face unique and personal challenges. It can cause confusion and despair to have to go through it alone. I would like to offer myself up as as a listener, an ally and as a personal advocate. I am fully trained in Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), the most effective non-blaming, non-labeling therapy available; I've completed over 25,000 IFS sessions. I work with adults and teens whose pasts are interfering with the present. I assist individuals and couples in better understanding the struggles they have been facing through improving their awareness of cognitive and behavioral patterns that may have become maladaptive.

I view the psychologist-client relationship as being collaborative, with both individuals working together to help understand the patient and the patients’ difficulties more clearly. I am committed to helping my clients learn how to build a healthier more fulfilling life. My integrative therapeutic approach supports my clients through their difficult times by guiding them with the use of evidence based therapy tools (CBT, IPT, mindfulness practices, and others) individualized to their healing journey. Teenagers are my jam and I love working with them and their families. However, I also specialize in working with Individuals and emerging adults who need support working through trauma. My therapeutic approach is attachment based and trauma informed. I have training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Brainspotting and EMDR in order to support you and your family as best as possible.
