If there’s one reason I'm a therapist, it's because I am deeply curious about people and love to connect. I want to fully know and understand your experiences, and create a space where you feel held. I am queer and enjoy working with queer and gender expansive clients, whether on identity exploration or other life challenges. I also support clients with relationship issues: maybe you’re stuck in conflict with a partner or friend; unsure what romantic relationship structure is right for you; or finding yourself frequently anxious or struggling to connect–I will help you get back to feeling grounded in healthy connection with others.
Some lenses I frequently bring to sessions include: how our relationships shape us throughout our lives, how our bodies and nervous systems hold our past and influence our present experience, and how systems of power impact everything. Before becoming a therapist, I was a climate justice organizer, and a social justice perspective still informs my work.
I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory, somatics, mindfulness, gender-affirming therapies, and trauma-informed practices. But above all, I’m invested in finding the approach that will work best for you, and we can draw from some, all, or none of these to figure that out!
