OASIS Christian Counseling was established in 1998. Our purpose is to provide a quality private counseling alternative to our community. OASIS therapists are professionally trained and licensed accordingly. We strive to integrate Biblical guidelines for living in all that we do. Our vision is to offer encouragement and hope as we work with clients toward reconciliation with themselves,other people and with God.

We'll spend time understanding exactly what you are experiencing - and why - so when you start making changes that improve your life, they will stick. My job is to give my clients the quickest relief possible which means I provide immediate feedback, tasks to focus on between sessions, and tools to learn coping skills.

I'm a certified EMDR therapist by EMDRIA. I use this approach to help adult survivors of emotional, physical and/or sexual trauma. I specialize in treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Grief, and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). My passion is to help you break through the emotional blocks that are negatively influencing your present thoughts and emotions, and keeping you from living a fulfilling life.

I believe strength is within us, and I also believe that sometimes we need a little help finding it. I am here to support you along the journey of gaining understanding into yourself, your situation and your goals. In addition to other evidence-based practices (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, MI, ACT, TF-CBT, Alternatives for Families CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy), I am trained in EMDR which is very effective in treating PTSD symptoms. I am also Gottman trained in couple's therapy.

Are you struggling with substance use? Have you gone from partying with friends to indulging in your addiction alone? Is AA not your thing? Treating substance use involves two things- changing the actual substance use itself and addressing the reasons for use in the first place. Most places that treat addiction treat one or the other- but we will do both. This gives you the long term results that you're after!

The most important thing I convey to clients is "you don't have to live like this". You don't have to just "deal" with the constant nagging doubt of OCD. You don't have to abide the nonstop pressure of anxiety. You don't have to put up with the flashbacks and hyper-vigilance of trauma. No matter how the pain of OCD, anxiety and/or trauma is affecting you, there are ways to fight back, survive and excel. While I am most passionate about OCD, anxiety and trauma, I also work with depression, attachment disorders, codependency, relationship, and family issues.

My clients desire to appear confident and in control, but deep down they are silently struggling to keep it together. They may be fed up with being everyone's "rock", feeling riddled with frustration and anxiety, or wondering who they are outside of all the "hats" being worn. They may not even remember a time things didn’t feel this way. One thing is for sure: they're ready for relief. They come ready to release the things that they've been holding in. They're ready to unhook from the cycle of burnout, numb out, repeat. Most of all, they're ready to step into an authentic relationship with themselves, life & those around them.

My experience has allowed me to work with very diverse populations and utilize multicultural counseling competencies to promote equity and inclusion in my work. I have served clients with a wide range of presenting concerns such as substance use, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, PTSD, and other co-occurring disorders. It is important for me to provide a safe space for my clients to feel comfortable working through issues and concerns that they are experiencing. I believe it is important to support clients in setting goals, learning how to problem solve, and developing coping skills.

In addition I now provide telehealth services which offer freedom from travel and allows the ability for each client to receive therapy where they are most comfortable.
