My passion is working with clients who want to develop themselves at a personal and relational level. My ideal client is someone who has experienced great difficulty in life, whether it's an issue that persists from childhood or is more a recent trauma or setback; someone who understands that they need help and want to move forward in their lives, bringing tangible and sustainable change.....and freedom. I get excited about the transformational aspect that therapy can bring.
I am a collaborative therapist, working within a number of modalities, and I walk alongside my clients to develop new and more effective ways of doing this mysterious thing called "Life". The areas I focus on are: anxiety and depression, stress and burnout, trauma, bereavement and loss, life stage transitions, and couples counselling.
Life can be so messy, chaotic, stressful and anxiety-provoking, and for many there is a sense of isolation and shame in merely surviving. I want, as best I can, to help you not only survive, but to thrive, to find joy and peace in your life once again, or perhaps for the first time in your life. At the very least I'd like you to know that you are not alone.
