Wondering what's currently in the Netflix top 10 shows list?

Netflix is one of the best streaming services available right now, and it offers a huge range of shows and movies to subscribers. But a massive library of shows also presents another entirely different problem: how on earth do you sort through everything and pick what to watch next?

Sometimes, the Netflix Top 10 can be a useful tool to cut through choice paralysis and find a great new show... but you can't always trust that what's most popular on the platform will also be what's definitely worth watching.

Here at Tom's Guide, we've looked through the Netflix Top 10 (as of 4.30 a.m. ET on Thursday, July 11) and selected three of the best titles that we think are worth watching. Currently, that list includes a London-set superhero series, a true-crime docuseries about a serial sperm donor, and a thrilling athletics doc.

Not convinced those will be right for you? Check out our roundup of everything new to Netflix this month as well as our picks of the best Netflix shows if you're still looking for more streaming recommendations. Otherwise, you can find our picks below.

"The Boys" might be dominating Prime Video right now, but Netflix has its own gritty superhero show (and it's landed an impressive 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes) "Supacell" is a superhero show from rapper and filmmaker, Rapman. It's a shot in the arm for the superhero show and uses the framework to tell a grounded story.

The action revolves around a group of ordinary citizens who suddenly develop superpowers; the five have little in common, save for the fact that they're all Black South Londoners. As they grapple with the impact of their newfound capabilities, Michael Lasaki (Tosin Cole) sets out to unite the group in an effort to save the life of the woman he loves.

Watch On

"The Man with 1000 Kids" is a three-part Netflix true crime docuseries that investigates the case of serial Dutch sperm donor, Jonathan Jacob Meijer.

Meijer won over would-be parents, often claiming that he would only donate to a handful of families; in reality, he had donated all over the world, including to at least 11 facilities in the Netherlands alone. Estimates from both private and sperm bank donations suggest he could be the father of as many as 3,000 children. The documentary features several women who have used Meijer's sperm to have children and reveals how they fought to stop him and bring him to justice.

Staff Writer, Streaming

Martin is a Streaming Writer at Tom’s Guide, covering all things movies and TV. If it’s in the theaters or available to stream somewhere, he’s probably watched it… especially if it has a dragon in it. Before joining the team, he was a Staff Writer at What To Watch where he wrote about a broad range of shows that stretched from "Doctor Who" and "The Witcher" to "Bridgerton" and "Love Island". When he’s not watching the next must-see movie or show, he’s probably still in front of a screen playing massive RPGs, reading, spending a fortune on TCGs, or watching the NFL.
