The Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQS) is truly grateful for the passion and dedication shown by UCT's lecturers in educating and training the next generation of Quantity Surveyors. The exceptional calibre of UCT graduates is a testament to the expertise and commitment of educators like Karen Le Jeune. Thank you for your invaluable contribution to shaping the future of our profession. We look forward to seeing more outstanding Quantity Surveyors emerge from your program!
Anyone who has encountered graduates in Quantity Surveying from the University of Cape Town, either professionally or socially, would have recognised them for what they are, 'handcrafted' specimen of the finest quality. The job of smithing these quantity surveyors of the future falls to department veterans like Karen Le Jeune. Karen is currently doing a PhD at UCT, examining the interface between social activism, innovation, smart cities and the 5th Industrial Revolution. She holds an MSc in Property Studies and a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying (with distinction), both from UCT. ASAQS urges the government to ensure projects are staffed with competent Quantity Surveyors to maximise value for money and prevent wasteful spending. Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/dSCq7Ccj
