The Importance of Sticking to a Contract – Lessons for Property Practitioners In the 1987 case of Ficksburg Transport v Rautenbach, the court ruled that strict adherence to contract terms is crucial. Ficksburg Transport attempted to renew a lease by delivering a notice to an employee instead of the owner, Mr. Rautenbach.
