We are so excited about the impact we are making in South Africa. We genuinely care. Even our business model shows that.
Today we launched a phenomenal school fundraising initiative in Pretoria, called IgniteTomorrow. diginu launched this in partnership with MyLife, and it is took off like a rocket. I’ve never seen such an incredible fundraising initiative before in my life. It’s simple - the kids get very high quality printed booklets which they can sell to people, with loads of discount vouchers in. The diginu vouchers include 10% off PLUS free delivery on all orders over R300 at participating merchants. There are many other vouchers in there as well outside the diginu value offering. The total value is R5’000+ and the selling price is R200 per booklet. Here is where it get’s very interesting: the school gets signed up on diginuPSP(Profit share program), and all the children get registered on diginu using the school’s unique diginu referral link. Then they can sign up their parents, friends and family on diginu with a unique registration link, and everytime those new people order on diginu at any diginu merchant nationwide, the school receives commission on those orders, paid to the school by diginu every Friday for the previous week’s orders. So it’s not only a once off fundraising, but ongoing fundraising for the school. In essence, the school is building up an asset that pays out residual income to them. Just imagine the impact this will have on schools nationwide not to have to worry about money anymore. This is why I reckon diginu is perfectly positioned to become the number 1 food delivery app in South Africa.
