Just returned from an incredible visit to South Africa, a key market for Hilton where we’ve been operating for nearly three decades. During my trip, I toured our fantastic properties – Hilton Durban, Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga Arch, and DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town Upper Eastside - connected with team members and met with our valued partners. It was a pleasure to attend the opening event of Hampton by Hilton Sandton Grayston alongside Shruti Buckley and Mahmoud Mokhtar - a huge milestone celebrating our first Hampton by Hilton in Africa and the brand’s 150th property across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The hotel is a great addition to our portfolio in South Africa, providing guests with a reliable and comfortable stay in the heart of Sandton’s bustling commercial district. I also joined the ribbon-cutting event for the highly anticipated Canopy by Hilton Cape Town Longkloof. Another very exciting moment marking the lifestyle brand’s first property in South Africa. Just opened, the stylish hotel welcomes guests to one of Cape Town’s trendiest neighbourhoods. Congratulations to Andreas Lackner, Kathleen Hedges, Mercia Horn, and all our brilliant team members for your hard work and dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
