    The 12th Joburg Indaba will take place in just 2 weeks’ time on 2 & 3 October, in Sandton, where more than 45 industry leaders will be sharing their insights and views on the SA mining industry and global developments impacting South Africa and the mining sector. If you haven’t already done so, you can secure your seat by registering online. Chaired by Bernard Swanepoel, the Joburg Indaba will feature its trademark candid and insightful discussions about the current state of the mining sector and how all stakeholders can work together to ensure that the industry finds solutions to its most pressing challenges, grasps the opportunities of the moment and contributes to future economic growth and the reindustrialisation of the country. We are delighted to announce the Honourable Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy, Gwede Mantashe, will be giving the closing keynote address on Thursday 5th October. Some of the highlights you can expect this year, include: A keynote address by Duncan Wanblad, Chief Executive, Anglo American, on how Anglo American is positioning itself for the future. Conversations with Dan Marokane, Group Chief Executive, Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd and Adv. Michelle Phillips, Group Chief Executive, Transnet SOC Ltd., on how these parastatals are helping to enable the mining industry. Both Mr Marokane and Adv. Phillips will then join a panel discussion on the role of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in solving South Africa’s infrastructure challenges, with Mpumelelo Zikalala, CEO, Kumba Iron Ore, Rudi Dicks, Head: Project Management Office, The Presidency, and Martin Kingston, Executive Chairman, Rothschild & Co South Africa & Chair, Steering Committee, Business for South Africa (B4SA). A keynote address by Dr Mteto Nyati, Chairman, Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, on the leadership challenges facing corporates in the mining and energy space.     We are only 3 weeks away from the 2024 Joburg Indaba, taking place at the Inanda Club, Sandton on 2nd & 3rd October, so if you have not already done so, make sure you guarantee your seat by registering today.
