Lorette Du Plooy is a farm girl from the Free State who has a deep love for reading and her family. In 2015, she graduated with an LLB from Northwest University, Potchefstroom, becoming an admitted attorney in 2018. Her interest in the corporate and commercial sector was sparked during her time as a BBBEE legal advisor. In 2017, she had the opportunity to join, as a senior legal advisor, the, then-only, privately owned company in South Africa accredited by SAAA to issue Advanced Electronic Signatures. In 2019, she transitioned to PBSA as the Head of Legal. Following a management buy-out of the digital division in 2022, the Flownamix Group was established, which she now serves as a trustee and the Global Group Head of Legal and Compliance. This group encompasses SigniFlow®, a document workflow and signature platform with operations in South Africa, Australia (covering Asia-Pacific), London, Singapore, and, since 2023, in the USA. Additionally, Datanamix, formerly known as pbVerify, a KYC and consumer information hub and credit bureau registered under the NCR, is part of the Flownamix Group. Out of a legal point of view, she believes technology-focused law is the future, and she is thrilled to be involved in its development.
