If you’re attending the Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) conference in Cape Town please let me know. It will be great to connect!
Combating the inter-linked ‘Triple threat’ faced by adolescent girls and young women in sub-Saharan Africa requires urgently addressing the issue of sexual and gender-based violence. 🤝🏽Next week, the Tiko team will attend the Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) Conference in Cape Town to engage with those leading the charge to tackle sexual violence, from researchers and practitioners to policymakers, donors and survivors, and to learn about new research, developments and innovations within this space. 🎤 Our Deputy Chief Impact Officer, Dr. Mercy Nhamo-Murire, will join a session on Friday 25 October, hosted by Brands on a Mission. This session will highlight the power of tech-based approaches in facing gender-based violence and protecting sexual and reproductive health and rights. Tiko is evolving its tech-powered model to go beyond reproductive health by integrating prevention and response for sexual and gender-based violence. Through an ecosystem of last-mile partners, we’re building a multi-purpose offer to support girls facing the triple threat of teenage pregnancy, new HIV infections and sexual and gender-based violence. 📌 We'd love to connect in Cape Town.
