Speed marketing sessions have become a highlight on the agenda for Africa’s Travel Indaba, and this year over 40 small businesses had the opportunity to spotlight their products. Providing a platform for exhibitors to share a quick overview of their tourism offerings, these sessions play a vital role in supporting the development of small businesses and entrepreneurial ventures, thereby stimulating economic growth and job creation. The speed marketing sessions provided an excellent platform for connecting businesses with buyers and being able to curate any business opportunities that these products may have. #TravelIndaba24 #ATI2024

Sustainability is key to the future of our tourism industry. At Africa’s Travel Indaba which recently took place in Durban, the Sustainability Village offered local artisans a platform to showcase their work and connect with international buyers. The products featured at the village are eco-friendly, giving delegates the opportunity to support local crafters and small businesses while giving back to our planet. #ATI2024 #TravelIndaba24 #VisitSouthAfrica

Africa’s Travel Indaba certainly made headlines over the last week, with representatives from South African Tourism appearing on some of the country’s top radio and TV stations. Locally, the event was covered by the likes of Morning Live, Radio 2000, SABC news, Radio 702, and many others, as well as extensively on social media, ensuring that our entire nation could share in the pride of seeing South Africa represented on the global stage. As a proudly pan-African trade show, coverage and representation in the media is incredibly important, and we would like to thank all media outlets for their support in bringing Africa’s Travel Indaba to audiences - not just in Africa, but across the world. #TravelIndaba24 #ATI2024 #VisitSouthAfrica Leanne Manas Clement Manyathela Sbusiso Leope Nosipho M.

Africa’s Travel Indaba continues to attract new audiences, and this year delegates at the trade show which recently took place, were given the opportunity to see the “Future of Travel Through the Eyes of the Youth”. In this session, three young travellers shared how they have converted their hobby of travelling into thriving businesses while also visiting the lengths and breadths of the continent. Acacia Denison and Michael Monk, of @wanderers_and_whiskers, have been to more than 100 campsites throughout South Africa travelling in their self-converted van, which also doubles up as their home. Katchie Nzama, a solo traveller, has been to 35 African countries. Her adventure began when she felt stifled by the corporate industry. She packed up to start a Cape to Cairo journey. Ten years later, she has not looked back. Check them out and follow in their footsteps across Africa! #TravelIndaba24 #ATI2024 #VisitSouthAfrica

As we reflect on #ATI2024, this year’s BOMA (Business Opportunity Meetings Aspirations) talks stand out as one of the highlights on the agenda. What started out as intimate conversations between delegates has grown into insightful sessions, that are immensely popular among delegates. This year, we had to create additional space to accommodate attendees, and we hope to see it grow even more in the coming years. #ATI2024 #TravelIndaba24 #VisitSouthAfrica
