📢 Insightful Exchange at the LISAvienna Regulatory Affairs Conference 2024! Last week, Our Collaboration Lead Aniko V. Fejes, PhD participated in the LISAvienna Regulatory Affairs Conference for Medical Devices and In-vitro Diagnostics (#REG24) in Castle Schönbrunn in Vienna. This year, the event brought together experts from across the DACH region to discuss key regulatory developments, including the MDR and IVDR, as well as the DiGA reimbursement processes in Austria. In collaboration with LISAvienna and industry leaders, the discussions explored the transformative role of AI in healthcare and tackled the ethical and regulatory challenges surrounding AI applications, cybersecurity, post-market surveillance, and more. 🔬Tackling the Skills Gap in the Healthcare Industry 💡 📰 In a recent commentary in the magazine upgrade from our Partner Universität für Weiterbildung Krems, Dr. Astrid Kaltenböck, Managing Director of EIT Health Austria, shares her insights on evolving challenges in the health industry: while there are rapid advancements in MedTech, BioTech, and HealthTech, the industry faces a significant (future) skills gap. Dr. Kaltenböck emphasises the need for start-ups and professionals to go beyond technical expertise and develop broader competencies in data science, leadership, communication and strategic thinking required by investors and the industry, as confirmed by the recent EIT Health and European Investment Fund (EIF) skills gap report. 👩💼 Celebrating Female Entrepreneurship at #MMHTogether! 🚀 ✨ Last week was the Making More Health Together convention, a global event co-organized by Boehringer Ingelheim and Ashoka that brings together changemakers, social entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to drive sustainable social impact. 🌍 It was a key opportunity to highlight female entrepreneurship during panel discussions, particularly the amazing work of the Top Female Founders Summer School, which was directly at a booth, and to meet brilliant alumni from the programme.
