📌 WoodPoP at woodCircle 2024! The European Wood Policy Platform (WoodPoP) had the privilege of attending the woodCircle forum on November 21, 2024, at the Apothekertrakt within the grounds of the Schloss Schönbrunn in Vienna, Austria. The event, part of the Austrian Wood Initiative, brought together experts from policy, research, industry, and science to discuss the future of wood use and bioeconomy innovations. 🤝 🪵 We were thrilled to present the European Wood Policy Platform (WoodPoP) during the "Connect and Inspire" session, where we shared highlights like our Wood Policy Lab, the Fire Safe Building bulletin, and the draft Wood Policy Paper. #woodCircle is a great instrument to exchange knowledge and coordinate the diverse activities of the Austrian Wood Initiative by Bundesministerium für Land- und Forstwirtschaft, Regionen und Wasserwirtschaft. It provides a space for transparent discussions and promotes networking and cooperation. The Wood Initiative supports over 190 projects (including European wood policy platform (woodPoP) and #Wood4Globe) in governance, timber construction, research, education and communication, and contributes to strengthening the wood-based value chains.

🌲WoodPoP's Study Tour and 5th EGM in Norway 🌲 Last week, September 10-11, WoodPoP had the pleasure of visiting the world’s tallest all-timber building and exploring wood industry innovations in Norway. We also held our 5th Expert Group Meeting, gathering 46 participants both online and in person. Key discussions revolved around the Draft Wood Policy Paper, uniting stakeholders and country representatives.
