The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is the world's largest regional security organization. Its 57 participating States span the geographical area from Vancouver to Vladivostok. Born in the early 1970s as the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe, it served as an important multilateral forum for dialogue between East and West during the Cold War. It was also instrumental in tackling the numerous security challenges that arose in Europe after the collapse of communism. Today, the OSCE, its institutions, and its 16 field operations are actively involved in a broad range of security- and stability-related activities including election monitoring, human rights, legislative reform, rule of law and media freedom, as well as combating human trafficking, terrorism and the smuggling of small arms and light weapons.

🤔What if the next generation of water, food and energy leaders is already shaping solutions today? And what if these solutions are in line with a unifying, common vision about their own future? The OSCE's 'Drops of the Future' workshop series across Central Asia provides space to do just that, giving young people the tools and platforms to address the water-energy-food nexus head-on. 📢 📜 Participants have articulated their thoughts in a powerful manifesto, basing themselves on the work done earlier on in Tajikistan, outlining the way forward in tackling the future in light of climate change. 👇 ❓And what were the Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan editions all about?👉 https://bit.ly/3BAjiHD

🚨 What are young people worried about in North Macedonia? 🚨 In a world where security is a growing concern, understanding the fears of young people is crucial for building a safer society. Our recent report asked young people in 🇲🇰 what worries them most, on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most concerning. The results? 🕵️ Organized crime (7.1/10) 🌪️ Natural disasters (6.9/10) 💥 Armed conflict in the Western Balkans (6.7/10) ⚽ Surprisingly, violent sports fans rank as the lowest concern at 5.7/10. ⚠️ Why does this matter? Because the security landscape of tomorrow will be shaped by the concerns of today's youth. If we fail to listen, we risk ignoring the real dangers they feel—and leaving critical vulnerabilities unaddressed. Their voices can guide us in creating policies that reflect their reality, not ours. Read the report of the OSCE Mission to Skopje 👉 https://lnkd.in/dS69akAN
