Over a century of unsustainable practices across industries caused a 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝟭.𝟭°𝗖 above pre-industrial levels.¹ 🌡️ To limit warming to 1.5°C, 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟯𝟬. However, current emission reduction measures are insufficient to meet corporate climate targets by 2030. Carbon-capture and utilization technologies are setting the tone for the next decade in Climate Innovation. Some of the Top European Greenhouse Gas Management startups we recently mapped:  Mission Zero Technologies  NeoCarbon Dioxycle We also recently shared some of our findings on #Biochar and its potential to disrupt the Climate Innovation value chain: https://lnkd.in/di9H3bBX And scientists and innovators in the space are quickly developing innovative solutions:  - Cyanobacteria and microalgae that “eat” carbon through photosynthesis - Microorganisms that use renewable energy sources – like hydrogen or organic waste streams – to capture CO2, which is then converted into new products, including biodiesel and protein-rich animal feed. ⏩ There are plenty of unexplored application fields and use cases for an ever-growing ecosystem of solutions and technologies tackling Climate Change.
